Greg Szeto (Co-President)

Board Member Since: 2024

Student(s) Grade(s): 2nd (Crosser)

I'm a parent of 2 kids and 2 corgis, and I grew up and lived on the East Coast (MD, PA, MA) before moving to Seattle in March 2020. I currently work at Pfizer Oncology where I lead a group of scientists focused on discovering, creating, and testing cancer targeted drugs and drugs that use the immune system, to give more treatment options and time to cancer patients. I'm passionate about building communities, organizing experiences and events, reading, science outreach and policy, photography, food, music, and travel.

Why I Joined the Board: I got hooked by Monster Mash our first year! My goals for joining the PTSA & board include helping strengthen our community, giving back, providing a rich & diverse elementary school experience to our students, and advocating for more highly capable & advanced learning options within neighborhood schools.

Stephanie Michels (Enrichment Chair)

Board Member Since: 2025

Student Grade: 2nd

I’m a parent of one John Hay student and work in Business Ops. I’m passionate about building community connections and helping create meaningful opportunities for students and families.

Why I Joined the Board: After seeing how much my child enjoyed the enrichment programs at John Hay, I wanted to give back in a meaningful way. I know these programs take a tremendous amount of effort from dedicated volunteers, and I joined the board to help support that work and ensure our students continue to have access to these wonderful opportunities.

Heather Camm (Communications Chair)

Board Member Since: 2024

Student Grades: K & 3rd

I’m a proud parent of two John Hay students and work as a Product Manager in Azure Core at Microsoft.

Why I Joined the Board:
During my first year at John Hay, I reached out during the Every Child Wins fundraiser to see how I could help with communications—and that opportunity led me to serve as Communications Chair. I’ve loved being able to contribute to shaping and growing our school community while building meaningful connections with teachers, staff, students, and fellow families.

Meredith Nguyen (Vice President)

Board Member Since: 2025

Student Grades: 4th and Pre-K

I run Vim and Rigor, a non-profit consulting firm focused on strategy, operations and fundraising. I also served as PTSA President at our previous elementary school, and I'm currently serving on the McClure Middle School PTSA board as the Secretary. I'm glad to bring my experience to support John Hay.

Why I Joined the Board: We moved to Seattle last summer, and I was eager to get involved right away. Joining the board felt like the best way to learn about the school, meet the community, and support our John Hay students. With four kids across three schools in Queen Anne, our family is invested in this community for the long haul.

Lisa Gray (Reflections Chair)

Board Member Since: 2025

Student Grade: 3rd

I am a clothing designer and manufacturer for the clothing label Prairie Underground. I love celebrating art in our community, especially encouraging children to explore and strengthen various artistic abilities.  It is an added bonus that my sister is Ms W -the art teacher at John Hay.

Why I Joined the Board: The president of the PTSA at the time Micheal approached me about being the lead for the Reflections program.  Reflections is a national art contest that offers kids an opportunity to express themselves in various art disciplines.  I am proud to be a part of this organization and share the work of our talented John Hay students
